Local Writer’s Meeting

Donna Maloy gave a workshop on Voice at our Houston Bay Area RWA meeting tonight. It was fantastic. Loved the handout. I feel very fortunate to have such great local writers’ groups here. HBA meeting Donna Maloy

Burnout

I’m so sick of being afraid, exhausted and burned out. I think everyone goes through those times–too much to do, too little energy–where every time we make one step forward, we get shoved five steps to the left until we just fall over. I’m trying to find my flow in life. I’m trying to learn the dance steps. I’ve been digging myself out of this hole for a while and I think it’s going to be okay. Even falling on your face is forward progress, right?

Yikes

In the middle ages, football season started in November. That’s when the pigs were slaughtered. The kids took pigs’ bladders and filled them with peas to make footballs.

I love audiobooks!

Listening to Veil of Lies by Jeri Westerson in the car today. Great book! A very entertaining read and a fabulous narrator. Audio books sure makes sitting in traffic more pleasant. Veil of Lies by Jeri Westerson
